ROBIN HOOD.

THIS IS WHY I RUN http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p009hrxt/Outlook_08_09_2010/

Feeling pretty flat at the moment. Trying to get my head round everything that has happened in the DRC which has made settling back into life in the UK slightly tricky. Had an awesome few weeks catching up with friends since I got back and I’m really looking forward to be running my next marathon on Sunday with Simon Platts and David Edwards. They are both amazing friends and have helped me so much through this year. Simon was there to help me through the Edinburgh Marathon when I had had an extremely tough week having lost my grandfather. Simon took part in his first marathon in Edinburgh, completing it in a fantastic time of 3hrs and 45 mins. Dave is awesome. I’m so chuffed he’s running the marathon, we’ve had a fair few adventures together and I’m looking forward to lining up along side him!

As I mentioned I feel a bit numb at the moment. But I’ve just spent a bit of time thinking about the women I met in the Congo and that is enough for me to feel the drive  of running my best on Sunday. i know why i’m running now. I’ll run my ass off.. I’m always weary of saying how fast I’ll run in a marathon because you feel disappointed if you don’t hit the time.

However, I’m determined to break my personal best marathon time on Sunday. There’s no reason why I can’t. Bar the massively unhealthy lifestyle of late. right i’ve said it now so i’ll have to do it.

PLEASE HAVE A LISTEN TO THIS TO UNDERSTAND WHY I RUN http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p009hrxt/Outlook_08_09_2010/
